Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics
Pharmacokinetics is a branch of pharmacology that concerns the movement of drugs within the body. The different processes of pharmacokinetics include; absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion.
Absorption is the process where the body absorbs a medication.
Absorption of medication by the body are effected by formulation factors, ionization degree, the size of the drug, concentration of the drug, water solubility at site of the absorption, lipid solubility, chemical stability, and binding of drug to other drugs, foods, or particles.
Distribution is a process where medication is dispersed throughout the tissues and fluids of the body. Distribution is affected by lipid solubility, https://www.solvedcollegepapers.com/product/hs-discussion-unit-7
