Security for PCs and LANs- What are some of the basic precautions a computer owner or network administrator can take to help make the computing environment secure?
Hello Everyone, Some of the basic security threats a user or administrator might face are Viruses, Malware, Worms, Trojan horses, Virus back doors, and Phishing.
The textbook says that “there are many layers of security that need to be managed to keep the risks low and mitigate threats.” Security needs to include a plan to secure both physically and logically (pp. 682-698).
Therefore, precaution like Antivirus and Firewall software is extremely important for searching for all viruses even back door viruses and stopping those entries through the back door.
Also, using a reputable Malware software can be beneficial as well as using SmartScreen
