I decided to compare the Android and the IOS, because just recently I was having to choose between getting a Samsung S7 and an IPhone 6. I ended up choosing the Samsung 7, because of the Android system.
The Android is now using the Marshmallow Touch wiz system, which is an upgrade from the previous Android, but still has a few bugs they are working out.
The IPhone is still using the IOS 9.3 system. They have upgraded a few features, but for the most part Apple stays pretty similar with each new device.
I like that most Apple phones were the same, this makes it easier when you upgrade, so you do not feel like you are learning a new phone each time.
The amount of apps out there for each device is pretty comparable, so they would have to tie on that. Android has an estimate of 1.6 million apps and IPhone as an estimate of 1.5 million.
