The management team’s control processes are negatively impacting morale, engagement, and productivity. Specifically, team members are required to complete detailed timesheets each day, and to cross-reference their submissions against the task list circulated by the management team.
If there is a discrepancy between the team member’s time sheet and the task list, the employee is required to submit a separate email justifying the incompletion of the task.
This is creating a culture of resentment, stress, and conflict. I attribute the root cause of this issue to be alack of effective communication between management and their employees, management’s failure to collaborate with the
team to update potentially outdated processes, and an overuse of outmoded control mechanisms to drive productivity,
