Lab 1: Digital Logic Gates
Objectives:
The purpose of the lab is to learn basic breadboard techniques and how to wire using the board. The students learned how to integrate circuits into the breadboard by using the 7400 Dual – Inline logic gates.
The students used the NOR, AND, OR, NAND, NOR, and XOR. The lab also has students use multi-meters, data-sheets, power supplies, Oscilloscope, and function-generator.
Results:
In general, the lab was successful. At the start, I had problems with wiring the gates properly. Once I figured out how to wire the bread board properly, the lab went smoothly.
The 7400 gates changed input from gate to gate. As a result, I had to rely on the data-sheets on e-campus. For every gate, I had to indicate whether the output was high or low.
