Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to test the effect of exercise on cardiopulmonary function and recovery rates. There were three parts to this study-a rest period, an exercise period, and a post exercise rest period. Blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates were calculated in each part of the study and recorded.
All the data was averaged out in the end, and divided between males and females. All three functions were shown to increase in rate initially following exercise, and then progressively decrease during the post exercise rest period; recovery rates were shown to be faster in females.
The class was shown to be in decent health conditions as there was nothing extremely abnormal when looking at most of the data.
Introduction:
Blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate are three factors that are essential to human survival.
