OL-215: Final Project One Application of Fundamental Principles: Southwest Airlines Tina Levering Southern New Hampshire University
Upon benchmarking Southwest Airlines for management best practices, I learnedthat several of their best management processes can be utilized by any management team. In the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards, SWA was recognized in 2015 as one of the “Best Places to Work”. (SWA Media, 2016)
Winning this coveted award says a great deal about its management team.When it comes to demonstrating the importance of their mission and vision, SWAhas two mission statements.
The first statement says they will “give the highest quality of Customer Service delivered with a sense of warmth, friendliness, individual pride, andCompany Spirit.” (Southwest, 2016)
