Post-concussive syndrome and traumatic brain injury are classified as two neurological disorders of the brain. These two neurological disorders are considered interchangeable terms in order to describe the common disorder.

Traumatic brain injuries are a result from road traffic accidents, that are related to motor vehicle collisions, motor vehicle pedestrian collisions, motorcycle, or bicycle accidents (Levin & Diaz-Arrastia, 2015). Other accountable accidents occur from sports injuries, and war-related injuries (military combat).
