I’ve used twitters API in the past along with a data-bot. This particular setup was used to sort twitter posts of certain subjects.
For example, we could tell the bot to watch president tweets or “Trump Tweets” and it would watch all the tweets by categorizing them by topic and popularity.
These tweets would be stored in a database for further review. We used PHP to write a simple program to communicate with the API to store and sort the data.
I used PHPMyAdmin to watch the processes in a simple Linux box to get the data in motion. Issues I ran into were when the twitter network became congested the data it would struggle to get data from Twitter API and the processes would halt.
So to fix this I wrote a small script if the data-bot (PHP script ) halted for more than 60s to restart PHP service, Additionally, I added and priority on 6 cores full
