Question:
Plains Research Institute currently can have DSL, a cable modem, ISDN, or modem connectivity to the Internet. Also, it wants to install a T-3 line to connect to a network at a new remote research site.
They ask you to create a short report or slide presentation that discusses how each of these, or a combination of them, can be connected to its network.
Answer: DSL, or Digital Subscriber Line, uses per-existing telephone lines connected to businesses and homes. You can use a wireless DSL router or DSL telephone line and have either a harlined or wireless connection.
