Abstract
The Volkswagen (VW) Group was founded in 1937 in Wolfsburg, Germany with an initial plan to manufacture inexpensive automobiles (Pirani & Su).
This paper will examine the global landscape of the automobile industry and how the VW Group evolved over the years. VW’s Strategy 2018 will be defined and I propose how I would successfully leverage big data (if I were the head of the Automotive Division) to achieve VW’s Strategy 2018.
