While I was not an applicant for security clearance, I was a Federal employee that completed an SF-85, Questionnaire for Non-Sensitive Positions, for a background investigation in 2004. I was also affected by the data breach that happened earlier in 2015.
That data breach affected 4.2 million current and former Federal government employees. Information that was compromised was the full name, birth date, home address, and Social Security Numbers (SSN)[CITATION Off20 \l 1033 ].
A third government data breach that my information was compromised in 2015 was the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Get Transcript application that affected 104,000 taxpayers.
