Art Hop Experience
Last Friday I went to the South End Art Hop. It was a crazy experience full of sights, sounds, and smells. Although I was mostly distracted by the crowds, disk jockeys, and food trucks, I ventured into a peculiar store called the Canal Barge Market. Inside was like a time machine.
There was furniture and appliances from all different periods of the 20th century. However, tucked along the back wall was a really cool print advertisement from 1928. It advertised the Royal York Hotel in Toronto. It featured an interesting painting of the hotel and a few objects in front of it.
This print stood out to me so much that I decided to write this paper on it.What I really liked about the print was that it was a really good view into the past. I attribute this mostly to the people in foreground.
