10-2 Discussion: Neuroimaging
Neuroimaging is a very interesting venture for psychologists. As it is described, it allows researchers to “see” the impacts of stimulation based on specific theories and scientific data.
Working in the healthcarefield that works with a lot of traumatic brain injuries, the scans that the hospital can perform are so fascinating and gives the physicians a great view of what is happening inside the brain.
The fMRI scan is a useful tool for researchers to use for providing evidence for certain hypotheses and theories, however it is only as effective as the researcher conducting the study.
I agree that this method should function as complementary support for psychological research rather than the end all be all (Cacioppo et al., 2008).
As with other studies, it is up to the researcher to use integrity and adhere to the APA
