Introduction
The pandemic has disrupted much of what is considered “normal,” specifically interpersonal connection and consumerism. As such, the use of e-commerce and social media hasrisen to meet the needs of today’s consumers.
From preventative measures (masks, hand sanitizer, and Lysol) to toilet paper, groceries, and other daily basics, e-commerce has shifted the way consumers acquire goods as the social environment evolved, as did social media. As people spend more time online, they are also likely to spend at least some of that time interacting with influencers.
