DISCOVERED BY: Home Owner NATURE OF SERVICE REQUEST: Military Ordnance (M80 smoke grenade) discovery and disposal ACTION TAKEN / RESOLUTION: Recovery and proper disposal ASSISTING AGENCIES: ATF FBI MSP OTHER Charles County Sheriff's Office ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The home owner discovered a piece of unexploded military ordnance (M80 Smoke Grenade) while working in the yard. The Charles County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and requested the State Fire Marshal's Bomb Squad. Upon examination of the ordnance, it was determined the smoke grenade was still live. The ordnance was taken to a remote area where it was properly countercharged and disposed of.
