Kohl’s Department Store Fire Under Investigation
Waldorf, Maryland (June 24, 2011) – The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating a fire which occurred inside a commercial business located in Charles County. On June 24, 2011 at 2:50 pm, a fire was reported inside the Kohl’s Department Store located in the St. Charles Towne Center, 11110 Mall Circle, Waldorf. The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department responded with 4 personnel along with the Charles County Sheriff's Office. The fire did not cause any damage to the commercial building, but caused approximately $2,000.00 dollars in merchandise damage. There was no fire alarm or fire sprinkler activation. This fire is currently under investigation and anyone with information about and/or a witness to this fire is urged to contact the Southern Regional Office of the State Fire Marshal by calling 443-550-6831.
