CRIMINAL SUMMONSES SERVED AFTER HOMEMADE LAUNCHING DEVICE INCIDENT CALVERT COUNTY, MD (May 3, 2012) – Deputy State Fire Marshals served two criminal summonses today after an April 27, 2012 incident involving the manufacture of an explosive launching device at 780 Dry Creek Court in Lusby. Investigators determined Robert John Bysheim (23) and Charles Edward Fabritz (27) manufactured the launching device and ignited the explosive materials subsequently causing Bysheim to receive a serious hand injury, which involved medical assistance being rendered at Calvert Hospital. Charges applied to both criminal summonses are Manufacture and Possession of a Destructive Device and 3 counts of Reckless Endangerment. If convicted of the charges, both Bysheim and Fabritz face a penalty of up to 40 years imprisonment and/or $265,000 in fines.
