DISCOVERED BY: Staff AREA OF ORIGIN: Inmates Cell PRELIMINARY CAUSE: Intentional destruction of fire sprinkler head. ASSISTING AGENCIES: ATF FBI MSP OTHER Charles County Sheriff’s Office ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Butler intentionally damaged the fire sprinkler head in his cell, causing minor flooding in and around his cell. He was served with a criminal summons involving charges of activating a False Alarm and Malicious Destruction of Property. Butler faces penalties of up to 8 years imprisonment and/or $7,500 in fines.
