DISCOVERED BY: Occupants - employees AREA OF ORIGIN: Rear exterior of the building next to a small hard plastic storage container next to the main building. PRELIMINARY CAUSE: Accidental - carelessly discarded smoking materials in the trash can ASSISTING AGENCIES:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The fire was determined to be accidental from a carelessly discarded cigarette butt thrown into a trash can that was situated against the small storage container. The small container quickly ignited and the fire spread up the side of the building and to the roof. There was significant smoke and heat damage to the medical equipment and the business was displaced. All dialysis patient services have been relocated to area centers.
