DISCOVERED BY: Home Owner NATURE OF SERVICE REQUEST: Improvised Explosive Devices (chemical reaction bombs) ACTION TAKEN / RESOLUTION: Render safe and follow-up investigation ASSISTING AGENCIES: ATF FBI MSP OTHER Charles County Sheriff's Office ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The home owner heard a series of loud explosions to the rear of her fenced-in yard and called 911. The Charles County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and requested the State Fire Marshal's Bomb Squad for 6 chemical reaction bombs (soda bottle bombs) scattered across a common walking path. Two of the devices had not yet detonated and had to be rendered safe. The evidence was collected from the area and a follow-up investigation is following.
