WALDORF YOUTHS CHARGED WITH ARSON AT P. D. BROWN LIBRARY CHARLES COUNTY, MD (October 31, 2013) – Deputy State Fire Marshals charged three juveniles with arson related charges after an investigation revealed two 13 year-old females and one 14 year-old male were responsible for igniting combustible items inside a bathroom at the P.D. Brown Memorial Branch Public Library at 50 Village Street in Waldorf. The fire occurred on October 26, 2013 at approximately 2:20 p.m. and resulted in an estimated $1,500 in damage. All three youths were charged with Arson 1st Degree, Malicious Burning 2nd Degree and Malicious Destruction of Property. They were released to the custody of their respective guardians pending the Charles County Department of Juvenile Services actions.
