DISCOVERED BY: Occupants AREA OF ORIGIN: Garage PRELIMINARY CAUSE: Accidental fire due to a malfunctioning refrigerator ASSISTING AGENCIES: ATF FBI MSP OTHER American Red Cross ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The fire was discovered after occupants of the residence reported smelling smoke. An occupant attempted to extinguish the fire using a kitchen fire extinguisher but was unsuccessful. All of the 5 occupants escaped the fire without injuries. The occupants are being assisted by family and friends and are also being assisted by the American Red Cross.
