LOCAL MAN CHARGED WITH ARSON OF VEHICLE CHARLES COUNTY, MD (October 1, 2014) – Deputy State Fire Marshals served a criminal summons to Jeston Tyler Swann (34) today at his residence in Bryans Road for his involvement with intentionally burning his 2005 Cadillac CTS. The incident originally occurred in the early morning hours on July 25, 2014 along Smith Point Road in Nanjemoy. A passerby located the burned remains of the self extinguished vehicle and notified 911. Damage estimates were determined to be nearly $6,500. Swann has been charged with 1st Degree Malicious Burning and Insurance Fraud. He has a scheduled hearing date on November 17, 2014 in Charles County District Court. If convicted of the charges, Swann faces up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $10,000 in fines.
