LOCAL WOMAN CHARGED WITH ARSON TO VEHICLE CHARLES COUNTY, MD (November 10, 2015) – Deputy State Fire Marshals charged Alexandra Ditoto (21) after determining she was responsible for intentionally setting fire to a 1992 Chevrolet S-10 pick-up on July 14, 2015. The incident occurred at 3160 Hancock Run Road in Nanjemoy at approximately 8:30 p.m. Firefighters responded from the Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department and quickly extinguished the blaze within five minutes after arrival on the scene. The vehicle, owned by Timothy Ryce, received an estimated $2,000 in damage as result of the fire. Ditoto was taken into custody at the Maryland State Police Barrack in La Plata on an arrest warrant and transported to the Charles County Detention Center. She has been charged with Arson 2nd Degree and Malicious Burning 2nd Degree. If convicted of the charges she faces a penalty of up to 21 ½ years imprisonment and/or $30,500 in fines. ###
