The Queen Anne’s County Library’s mission is to educate and enrich our community through free access to resources. The library offers wide variety of materials and services to meet the needs of residents of all ages as well as the local small business community. As a resident of Queen Anne’s County you are entitled to a free library card which provides access to traditional library services such as borrowing books, movies, magazines, as well as the use of public access computers and Wi-Fi at each branch. The two branches of the county library system house a physical collection of over 100,000 items including 77,000 books, 8,000 audio books and 15,000 DVD/Blu-ray discs. The library also loans pre-loaded iPads with content specific for toddlers, students and teens. Other services include: free interlibrary loan service, fax services and a cloud based printing service that allows you to send print jobs from any Internet connected computer to a public library printer at either branch. A meeting room is also available at each branch. The room is free of charge to non-profits and available to for profits organizations at a rate of $25 per hour with a two hour minimum. The library also has a third branch called our virtual branch. As a library cardholder you can access a wide variety or resources and services online such as Maryland’s Digital eLibary which has over 10,000 e-books including adult fiction and non-fiction, young adult and children’s titles. A new streaming service called Hoopla Digital, which provides free access to thousands of movies, audiobooks, e-books, music comics from any device. Learn 30 new languages with Rosetta Stone or research your family history with Ancestry Plus and Heritage Quest. All of our online resources can be found at www.qac. library.org
