The main design consideration is the appearance to bland into the surrounding ambience of the restaurant; the display aspect is to acecnt the variety of wines attracting the customers. Safety is another major consideration since the display unit is mainly glass, installed in close vicinity of the customers. Apart form the above points, the display unit has to maintain optimum temperatures and humidity to store the wine without degrading its quality and appearance. Lighting is another important consideration which increases the visibility of the shelf life of the wine.
