Barinas is one of the states of Venezuela that conforms the Venezuelan Llanos, the plains region. It has one of the most inhospitable environments but also a great natural richness, all of which makes up for an interesting travel destination. Although the Llanos (plains) are the biggest part of its territory, a small portion of its land is part of the Andes Mountain Range. This combines landscapes of mountain hills covered by forests and the great big plains.
