the University of Maryland. Met with her frequently as she created an ulcerative colitis database. Sandra is currently a medical resident at the University of Maryland. I am serving as her mentor and meet with her monthly. She continues to collaborate with us on ongoing projects, including a case report of orofacial Crohn’s disease . Mentored Meaghan Donovan. Meaghan is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Pharmacy. I am a member of her dissertation committee and the primary mentor. Meaghan developed an electronic survey to follow-up on a mailed survey to evaluate practice patterns among gastroenterologists in the use of infliximab. Meaghan administered the survey to a national sample of gastroenterologists. The results will be the basis of her dissertation defense. Mentored Roger Wu. Roger was a medical student at the time at the University of Maryland. Roger performed data extraction on an existing database of patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Mentored Rachel Greenberg. Rachel was a first-year medical resident at the University of Maryland. Rachel wrote a case-report of a patient with ulcerative colitis on chronic immune suppressants that developed severe squamous dysplasia of the rectum. Mentored Dafna Koldobskly. Dafna was a first-year medical resident at the University of Maryland. Dafna drafted an IRB proposal to evaluate the effectiveness of capsule endoscopy in optimizing surgical outcomes in Crohn’s disease. Mentored Roxana Samimi. Roxana is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Maryland. Roxana performed data extraction to evaluate the outcomes of medical treatment of strictures and internal perforating disease in patients with Crohn’s disease.
