Pharmacology, China Pharmaceutical University, P.R.China 1998 Using chemical, biological and genetic tools to identify and manipulate molecular mechanisms of HSC proliferation, cell fate determination, and differentiation and to discover new drugs for clinics as well. Ongoing projects includes screening compounds a) affecting micro RNA function, b) affecting HSC cell type commitment and c) inhibiting leukemia stem cell proliferation. Collaborative project with other groups in Johns Hopkins includes the discovery of novel anti­proliferation agents for leukemia using both in vitro cell culture and our recently developed in vivo mice model. 1.
