University of Maryland School of Medicine License Plate Information Thank you for requesting a set of University of Maryland School of Medicine license plates. By displaying these special bicentennial license plates, you will demonstrate your pride in the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Each set of School of Medicine license plates will cost $25.00. Please enclose a check, made payable to the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), for the total cost of the new license plates along with your completed license plate form. Please reference the number of the current license plate in the memo portion of the check. Please return the completed form and check to the following address:

Greene Street, Suite 600 Baltimore, MD 21201 Please note that the Motor Vehicle administration requires original signatures on the license plate form. Also, you will be asked to include such information as the vehicle identification number, insurance information, etc, on your form. For your information, a sticker number is also required. That is the tiny number printed on your registration sticker. Please note that if you lease your car, your name must appear on your registration along with the leasing company’s name to enable you to transfer your SOM plates to other cars you will own in the future. Your home address must also be listed in the “care of” section on your registration. All SOM license plate numbers begin with the letters “SOM” and are then followed by a four digit number. For example, license plate numbers will read “SOM0001,” etc. Please note that along with your new School of Medicine plates, you will receive replacement registration stickers. Once you receive your new set of plates, you must return your old set of plates to the MVA.
