Postdoctoral Position Available

A postdoctoral position is available for a recent Ph.D. graduate with experience in electrophysiology. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to contribute to our studies of the circadian regulation of intrinsic excitability in the suprachiasmatic nucleus of the hypothalamus. The project involves recording macroscopic currents and action potentials from heterologous cells, slices, or cultured neurons. The lab uses a variety of techniques to understand how circadian time is encoded in the brain and conferred to behavioral outputs, including molecular biology, transgenics, electrophysiology, and behavioral assays. Requirements: Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field and significant experience with electrophysiological recordings (current- or voltageclamp).
