Changing the IS System Status Notice on the IS Homepage with OmniUpdate Go to the Information Services homepage. http://medschool.umaryland.edu/IS/ Click on the invisible copyright link at the bottom of the page to launch the login screen. Login it with your username: informationservices …and Password: isystem01$ When the page opens in OmniUpdate, do not click the green edit button. You need to edit the code directly, so scroll down to the blue html button and click that. The page will open in code view. In the code, look for "HOMEPAGE SCROLLING BANNER" In the code beneath you will find a parameter with the default statement: "The SOM Network, its servers and applications are operational at this time." Change the statement as needed. Click the save icon in the upper left side of the editing box. Now click the green “Publish Now” button. The "Page Ready for Publishing" dialog box will open. Make a note of the change you made and click Publish again. To check your change click "View in New Window." If you are satisfied, log out. If not, click on the edit button to repeat.
