How To export Pulses From India The importance and the demand for Organic fruits and vegetables are increasing in the global market. This comprises 1.78 million hectares of cultivable area and another 1.78 million Hectare for wild harvest collection. Madhya Pradesh has the largest area under organic certification. Other states that have large areas under organic cultivation are Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh. In 2016, Sikkim converted its cultivable land under organic certification. ● Production of Organic Products During the year 2017-2018, India produced about 1.70 million MT of certified organic products including Oil Seeds, Sugar cane, Cereals & Millets, Cotton, Pulses, Medicinal Plants, Tea, Fruits, Spices, Dry Fruits, Vegetables, Coffee and such other varieties of food. The production in the organic segment in India is also conducted in the organic cotton fiber, functional food products, and so on. Madhya Pradesh is the largest producer of organic products in India. Madhya Pradesh is followed by Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Oilseeds are the largest category of commodities produced followed by Sugar crops, Cereals and Millets, Medicinal, Herbal, and Aromatic plants. ● Export of Organic Products During the year 2017-2018, the total volume of organic products export was 4.58 lakh MT. The realization of this export was about Rs. 3453.48 crore (515.44 million USD). Organic products from India are
