About Sondh Associates was established in 1987 by Mr Santokh Sondh as the Sole Partner with offices on St. Vincent Place, Glasgow. The practice undertook a variety of projects, mostly cares homes and also has experience in industrial, commercial, residential, hotel, leisure, worship and tenement refurbishment. In 2003 Mr Nindy Sondh joined the well established practice as a Director; this natural progression of the practice has continued from their current office. Sondh Associates employ a combination of enthusiastic graduate students. Mr. N. Sondh also continues to mentor students within the practice preparing them for their professional practice examinations and has also completed a Masters in Construction Law
Profile Sondh Associates are Architects based in Glasgow who predominately specialise in healthcare and residential projects. We also have extensive experience in commercial, industrial, religious, hotel and conservation projects. Individually and / or collectively, the practice has membership of: Royal Incorporation of Architects In Scotland (RIAS), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Architects Registration Board (ARB), Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb).

Westerton Care Home Glasgow
Westerton Care Home This 87 bed care home occupies the site of a former car show room and garage in Bearsden. Wedged between Maxwell Avenue to the north and railway lines to the south, the design makes careful use of its narrow site. A variety of cladding materials were employed which help to break down the facade visually, enabling the proposed building to sit comfortably in its suburban context and also offer fantastic views to the Campsies from the rear garden and raised communal areas

Mossvale Care Home This 63 bed care home occupies the site of a former care home which had lain vacant for a number of years. The new care home provides extensive external garden space with views all round for the care home residents to enjoy.

Springboig Care Home The site was put up for sale but no title deeds were available as they dated back to the early 18th century. It took our client to buy the site, thereafter Sondh Associates were commissioned as Architects to develop the site. The design brief was to accommodate a Care Home that would be inclusive of public and also private areas for residents with existing landscaping levels sculpted to achieve an interesting juxtaposition of landscaped spaces

Lennoxtown Care Home Lennoxtown
Lennoxtown Care Home The proposed building consisting of four wings containing 92 bedrooms, all single rooms, with each wing containing between 8 and 14 bedrooms and also a nursery for 65 children. The building stands two storeys high plus pitched roof. The southern boundary sees the entrance connect directly onto Main Street providing access to the car park including 23 spaces for the care facility and 11 for the nursery. The layout will allow emergency and delivery vehicles to manoeuvre freely within the spaces.

The current site is unused and as a consequence it is unsightly and detracts from the surrounding buildings. The proposed care home design responds to its context both in terms of scale and materials while integrating features that make the building identifiable and unique. The elevations acknowledge the variety of styles and building types in the area and add further character to the predominantly new build surroundings. The design takes into account the requirements for space and natural light with extensive landscaping and large windows to the bedrooms/ communal areas

Biggar Care Home Biggar
Biggar Care Home The proposed building streetscape consists of townhouse style blocks containing 52 bedrooms, all single rooms, with each section containing between 10 and 11 bedrooms. The building stands two and a half and one and a half storey’s high and also has accommodation within its pitched roof. The western boundary sees the entrance connect directly from Broughton Road to a private road, providing access to the car park including 16 spaces. The layout will also accommodate emergency and delivery vehicles to park/ manoeuvre within the spaces
