Love Your Life
By Laurie Ferguson/Lifestyle ManagerAs we transition into the vibrant month of May, I'm filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the incredible community we've built here at Grand Hampton. It's truly inspiring to see the bonds we've formed, the friendships that have blossomed, and the collective spirit of joy that permeates our neighborhood. This month, I want to delve into the essence of happiness and engagement within our community and share some ideas – both big and small – to enhance our collective well-being.
Happiness is not merely a fleeting emotion; it's a state of being that thrives when nurtured by connection, purpose, and a sense of belonging. As your Lifestyle Director, my mission is to cultivate an environment where each resident feels valued, supported, and empowered to lead a fulfilling life right here in Grand Hampton.
If you have any new ideas, big or small, please email them to grandhampton@melroselifestyle.com, and they will be brought to the Lifestyle Committee to discuss. Your input is invaluable in shaping the future of our community and ensuring that our activities and events reflect the diverse interests and passions of our residents.
Together, let's continue to nurture a community where happiness abounds, connections flourish, and every resident feels a profound sense of belonging.
Laurie Ferguson Lifestyle Director Laurie Ferguson Lifestyle DirectorNew Clubhouse Rental Policy
Dear Residents of Grand Hampton,
As your Community Association Manager, I am writing to inform you of a recent decision made by the Board of Directors regarding the clubhouse rental policy for the Association. After careful consideration and evaluation of the operational expenses for Grand Hampton, the Board has approved implementing a new rental rate structure and rental policy for the clubhouse to better serve our community's needs. These changes will take effect on June 1, 2024. After careful consideration by the Board of Directors, the Buildings and Grounds Committee and Management, the following changes will be made to the clubhouse rental policy:
New Rental Rates:
Base Rate: $350.00 for a 6-hour time block.
Additional Hours: $55.00 per hour.
Change to Rental Policy:
All clubhouse rentals will include both the Grand Room and the Hampton Room for up to 85 total people. Renting just the Hampton Room will no longer be offered for reservations made
on or after June 1, 2024.
Important Note for Existing Bookings: For those of you who have already booked the clubhouse for a private event, rest assured that the new rate and new policy will not affect your reservation. We understand the importance of honoring our commitments and will ensure that your booking remains unchanged. The new rate and policy will take effect for all reservations made on or after June 1, 2024.
It is important to note that there has not been an increase in the cost of clubhouse reservations since 2016. However, over the years, the association's costs for providing this service have increased. In our analysis of this concern, management and the Board of Directors also looked at the costs of clubhouse rentals in other communities and found that the new fee remains in line with the costs charged by similar associations.
Despite these changes, we believe these rates still offer exceptional value for the amenities and space provided. Not only will you have access to the grand room and the Hampton room, but also included in the rental fee are
tables and chairs and staff members to move furniture and help set up the room, making it easier than ever to host your events and gatherings.
We understand that any increase in fees may impact the residents, and we want to assure you that we remain committed to transparent communication and fiscal responsibility. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this fee adjustment, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at 813-9738368 or chaines@melrosemanagement. com.
As always, we are committed to providing you with the best possible experience here at Grand Hampton. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, hosting a meeting, or simply gathering with friends, our clubhouse is the perfect venue for all your needs. Thank you for being a valued member of our community, and we look forward to seeing you at the clubhouse soon!
Thank you, Chris

2024 MUSIC FESTIVAL
If you missed out on the 8th Annual Music Festival held on April 6th, let me assure you, you missed out on an extraordinary event! Picture-perfect weather set the stage for a day filled with incredible music, delectable food, and unforgettable moments.
With over 600 enthusiastic attendees, our festival brought together music lovers from all walks of life. From the vibrant beats to the electrifying energy, it was a celebration of community and harmony.
Four phenomenal bands graced our stage, each delivering stellar performances that had the crowd dancing and singing along. Their talent and passion resonated throughout the venue, creating an atmosphere of pure euphoria.
But the festivities didn't end there. Our food vendors offered a mouthwatering array of culinary delights, satisfying every craving and
palate. From bbq to kettle corn popcorn, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Adding to the spectacle were two mesmerizing LED robots, captivating the audience with their futuristic dance moves and interactive performances. Their presence added an extra layer of excitement and wonder to the festivities, making it a truly immersive experience for all.
None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our amazing sponsors. Their contributions helped us elevate the event to new heights and create memories that will last a lifetime. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of them for their invaluable support.
In addition to the incredible music and entertainment, I'm thrilled to announce that we raised $750.00 for Instruments of Change, a charity dedicated to providing musical instru-
ments to underprivileged children. Your generosity will help spread the gift of music to those who need it most, making a positive impact in our community and beyond.
For those who couldn't join us, we've compiled a collection of photos that capture the magic and joy of the day. Take a glimpse into the festivities and relive the moments that made the 8th Annual Music Festival truly unforgettable.
As we look back on this incredible day, we are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the power of music, food, and friendship. Here's to many more years of harmony and happiness!

Tampa Bay Community Water Wise Awards Program
DOES YOUR LANDSCAPE HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN? ENTER SOON TO FIND OUT!
The Tampa Bay Community Water Wise Awards, sponsored by Tampa Bay Water, UF/IFAS Extension and Florida-Friendly Landscaping™, were created to recognize individuals and businesses committed to conserving our water resources, protecting the environment by using Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ (FFL) principles and including an attractive design. There are nine FFL principles which include: right plant right place, water efficiently, fertilize appropriately, mulch, attract wildlife, manage yard pests responsibly, recycle, reduce stormwater runoff and protect the waterfront. Many of these principles are used as part of the landscape evaluation process for this awards program.
The University of Florida/Florida-Friendly LandscapingTM teams in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas Counties and their County/City water departments evaluate your county’s landscapes using specific criteria which includes the following and more: Landscape Design and Plant Selection: organic/plant-based mulch is applied 2-3 inches deep throughout the plant beds, plants with similar maintenance and water requirements are grouped together, no strips of grass less than four feet wide Stormwater Runoff Prevention: use of rain collection devices, gutter downspouts and roof runoff are directed onto mulched/
planted areas, no bare areas in the lawn/landscape which are subject to erosion
Efficient irrigation: landscape exists primarily on rainfall or watered only as needed with an irrigation system
You can view photographs and watch short videos of past winners at: https://awards.tampabaywaterwise.org/. The deadline for entries is June 30. Complete your application now, which will take about five-ten minutes; then submit on-line at the link above. Attaching a photo or two is helpful. On-site landscape evaluations will be scheduled and conducted in June, July and August with homeowners and business owners. Winning entries will receive a beautiful, handmade mosaic steppingstone for homeowners or a plaque option for businesses. Feedback is provided to all that enter the awards program.
Today is a great time to complete and submit your application. We hope to receive your entry soon! Thanks in advance for participating. If you have questions regarding the Tampa Bay Community Water Wise Awards program and live in Hillsborough County, please contact me. If you live in Pasco or Pinellas County, contact your Florida-Friendly LandscapingTM (FFL) program coordinator.

Your Mailbox
As your Community Association Manager, it is my responsibility to ensure that our neighborhood remains a beautiful and welcoming place for all residents. With this in mind, I want to bring your attention to an important matter regarding the maintenance of your mailbox and mailbox post. In recent inspections, it has come to our attention that many of the mailboxes within our community are showing signs of wear and tear due to aging. As you know, a well-maintained mailbox not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of our neighborhood but also reflects the pride we take in our community.
It's important to note that the responsibility for maintaining individual mailboxes lies with the owner of the respective lot. Similarly, for lots that share a mailbox post with a neighbor, the maintenance of the post is a shared
responsibility between both lots.
Please take time to review your mailbox and to complete any maintenance or repairs needed to restore the mailbox to the Association’s standards. General maintenance tasks include cleaning the mailbox, removing any moss, mold, mildew, etc., and repainting the mailbox as needed. Additionally, any necessary repairs should be promptly addressed to ensure the longevity of the mailbox and post.
For your convenience, the mailbox standards and overall design guidelines are available on the Association's website, egrandhampton.com, and are available in the Design Review Manual. These resources can serve as a helpful reference as you assess and address any maintenance needs.
Please be aware that mailbox maintenance and upkeep will be a focal point during our upcoming inspections.
We kindly ask that you take the time to review your mailbox and complete any necessary maintenance tasks prior to these inspections.
Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated and contributes to the overall well-being of our community. Together, we can ensure that Grand Hampton remains a place we are all proud to call home.
If you have any questions or need further assistance regarding mailbox maintenance, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at 813-9738368 or chaines@melrosemanagement. com.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Leash Love: Keeping Tails Wagging Safely!
As we embrace the beautiful spring weather and spend more time outdoors with our furry companions, it's crucial to be mindful of the importance of leash laws in our community. Keeping your dogs on a leash isn't just a rule – it's a responsibility that ensures the safety and well-being of both your pets and your neighbors.
Leashing your dog helps prevent accidents and potential injuries. Even the most well-behaved dogs can become excited or distracted, leading them to run off or approach unfamiliar animals or people. By keeping them on a leash, you have better control over their movements, reducing the risk of incidents.
Keeping your dog on a leash also helps protect others. Not all residents may feel comfortable around dogs, especially if they are unrestrained. Keeping your dog on a leash shows consideration for your neighbors' comfort and safety. It helps prevent
any potential conflicts or scares that could arise from unleashed interactions.
It’s also important to remember that leash laws are in place for a reason – they are mandated by local ordinances and regulations. By adhering to these laws, you not only uphold the standards of our community but also demonstrate respect for the legal requirements governing pet ownership.
As you get outside with your pets, here are some tips for leash etiquette to keep in mind:
• Always use a sturdy leash that is appropriate for your dog's size and strength.
• Keep the leash short enough to maintain control but long enough to allow your dog freedom of movement.
• Be attentive and aware of your surroundings while walking your dog, especially in shared community spaces.
• Be respectful of other people and their pets and do not approach another person/
dog without asking first.
• Properly dispose of waste in the receptacles around the community.
• Follow all pet-related guidelines outlined in our community rules and regulations and the local ordinances.
As members of the Grand Hampton community, it's essential that we all do our part to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, including our beloved pets. By following leash laws and practicing responsible pet ownership, we can create a harmonious environment where everyone feels secure and respected.
Let's continue to enjoy the spring season and all the outdoor adventures it brings, while keeping our furry friends safe and secure by our side.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to making Grand Hampton a wonderful place to call home.

Aluna's Zodiac
By Aluna MichaelsMAY 2024
Taurus (April 20 – May 20) – Happy birthday Taurus! Your year starts with lots of prosperity blessings! You can make money doing things you love, and if you’re in a relationship, your partner will flourish too. Also meditate on body image and be grateful for the amazing tasks your body accomplishes each day. Big shifts happen in your career all year long. As Pluto retrogrades, keep the big picture in mind and don’t worry about temporary delays in your ascent to greater success!
Gemini (May 21 – June 20) – Jupiter is in your sign for a whole year, bringing you financial abundance, love, and great times! It’s a new twelve year cycle. Medi-tate on gratitude for what you have now, and also set higher goals. Your optimism helps you see what’s possible. Relationships can heal. If single, you can fall in love with a very positive-minded person who resonates with your value system. Pay attention to dreams or little ideas that pop into your head during the day; your intui-tion is powerful!
Cancer (June 21 –July 22) – Deep forgiveness is possible, even for things you always thought would never heal. It’s always a balance to keep healthy boundaries as you release past wounds. But Jupiter and Pluto are showing you a path to inner freedom. You can also have financial breakthroughs, especially about debt. Meditation brings insights that can resolve eating, health or stress issues. As always think kind thoughts about your body!
Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22) – Pluto moves retrograde, illuminating how to heal toxic relationships patterns. Confide in trusted friends who can give you gentle, yet clear feedback to help you clean “your side of the
street”. At the same time, you’ll have courage to keep your partner accountable for poor behavior. A surprising re-naissance of love can follow these mature confrontations. Also, plan fun time with friends, as Jupiter enters a new sign and wants you to enjoy yourself and play!
Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22) – It’s an amazing work month! You can have an in-credible job offer or a long-awaited promotion. You can also have a pay raise or bo-nus! These good events restore faith in the Universe and help you end the critical inner voice that’s been piecing on you lately! If you’re having health issues related to stress, meditate on what’s working well in your body. From that space of gratitude, send compassion and love to troubled areas. You’ll have intuitive solutions. You’ll also have patience to set loving disciplines with food that reap rewards fast, and don’t make you feel punished or deprived.
Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22) – Like Virgo pals, you’re having a spiritual healing. Maybe for the first tim in twelve years. You can feel that the Universe is on your side and that you can surrender to the kindness that surrounds you. You can also be developing a strong, intimate relationship with someone new who matches your val-ues and life goals — or deeply shifting a current partnership to it can reach it’s tru-est potential. In general, you’re healing your ability to receive love. Your heart is ready to trust again, and to thrive!
Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21) – Jupiter’s change of sign brings much healing about betrayal and relationship disappointments. You can also resolve issues around debt and money. It’s the start of a twelve year cycle, so be optimistic and allow your heart to open again! In order to feel safe,
dive deep in meditation. Allow your sorrow to rise to the surface without judgement. Cultivate self-compassion. You’ll feel a shift. You can balance strong, healthy boundaries with hope and joy!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21) – You can make strides in negative self-talk! Observe your humor, since your “inner mean girl” often masquerades as a jokester. Meditate and appreciate your vulnerabilities. Have compassion for the goof-ups you’ve made. You can be starting a relationship with a fantastic person, and you de-serve this healthy bonding opportunity! If partnered, amazing healing potential puts you on a more fulfilling path together.
Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19) – You can have many breakthroughs with work and money! Meditate on deserving good things in your life! You deserve health, wealth, peace of mind and self-compassion! The kinder you are to yourself in your mind, the more you’ll notice things flowing easily for you. Pay attention to your dreams. There will be images and messages that inspire you! Also, plan a massage or some type of healing treatment.
Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18) – You have strong people skills, and of course you’re an amazing intellectual, but allow yourself to fall in love! You can be emo-tionally guarded to protect your vulnerabilities, but this is a once in a twelve year opportunity to open your heart on a deep, yet fun and playful level! You can be in a new couple, or start a renaissance with a longtime partner, but either way, let it happen!
Also meditate on being loving and gentle with yourself. It might seem goofy, but it’s a “nutrient” your inner self is craving.
Pisces
(Feb. 19 – March 20) – This month holds deep healing for any childhood issues. Meditate to see blessings from your upbringing and your lineage. You don’t have to excuse inexcusable behavior, but you can still cultivate gratitude for your past, since it has all made you who you are today. On the lighter side, it’s a nice time to have a party in your home, or redecorate in a fun way. You can also have a wonderful job opportunity, raise or bonus!
Aries (March 21 – April 19) — Reconnect with friends who support your spiritual goals and who are also lighthearted and positive! Meditate on affirmations about your strengths, especially when it comes to prosperity and abundance. the Financial flow really opens up these next few months! If single, you can start a new relationship that is loving, fun and fulfilling! Current partnerships can also have a sense of renewal and connection.
