LETTER FROM THE PUBLISHER Move over New York City, California, Chicago and Atlanta. Lil' ole Wesley Chapel is on the map! If you have not heard yet, the intersection of Bruce B Downs and SR 56 is now the largest intersection in the whole United States!! (Well it is tied with Sunset Blvd in Las Vegas). Really, think about it, Wesley Chapel and New Tampa are growing like wildfire and we now have the biggest (tied) intersection in all of the country. That is amazing and again makes me pleased as punch to be smack dab in the middle of this incredible community. What could be better for residents and businesses? We are so dedicated to our community and all love to be involved. We have, right here in our own back yard, so many events, happenings, charities, organizations, A rated schools, social clubs, sports fields, fantastic restaurants, dedicated business owners and many beautiful neighborhoods. None of this would be possible if it wasn't for you. Thank you to everyone in the Wesley Chapel/New Tampa area for making this area #1!

he serve is a critical shot in tennis and the only shot that you fully control. In other words, since you initiate the serve, you don’t have to prepare for an incoming ball from your opponent. In order to hit a good serve, however, you need to toss the ball properly because your swing will be determined by where you place your toss. In order to make a good toss, the ball needs to be held on the fingertips. The palm should face directly toward the sky as the arm goes up and the ball should be pushed into the air using the straight forward and up technique. These factors help to limit spin on the ball and enhance overall control of the toss. The tossing arm should go up and out to the side of the body assisting trunk and shoulder rotation. The weight starts to move forward as the arm moves upward. Now practice, practice and more practice, you’ll be serving up some aces before you know it!

David Hackenberg Speaks to the New Tampa Rotary
R
ecognized as one of the world’s foremost experts on the honey bee, David Hackenberg has been sounding the alarm that if something is not done soon, the honey bee will go extinct in the next few years. Einstein stated that the disappearance of the honey bee would be followed by the disappearance of man four years later. Hackenberg winters in Dade City, Florida where his bees pollinate the orange groves and melon fields. Every year he drives more than 60,000 miles across the country to provide bees, millions of them. Without these bees food production would drop and prices would rise even faster than they are now. Hackenberg believes he has found the answer to why the bees are disappearing and what it will take to fix the problem and save mankind from the New Tampa Rotary List of Speakers for April 2011 April April April April

St. Mark's food pantry provides unprepared food to individuals residing in the 33647 zip code and a portion of the 33613 zip code east of Bearss. They serve approximately 100 families monhly, distributing ~4500 pounds of food. Food comes from food drives, food and monetary donations from St. Marks parishioners, day-old bakery donations from Publix on Morris Bridge Road, bottled water from Zephyhills Water. The public can help with food drives/donations as well as monetary donations.

Hackenberg first appeared on 60 minutes in October of 2007 to alert Americans of the impending disaster and continues to speak out publicly against those he believes are responsible for the demise of the honey bee in the United States. In Florida we have no-fault insurance (PIP) and I have health insurance, so why bother with uninsured motorist coverage? by Gary Gunter, Agency Owner, GUNTER AND GUNTER INSURANCE
U
ninsured motorist coverage is the ugly duckling of auto insurance coverage. Most people worry about the other guy -- if you are at fault in an accident, you worry about your liability -- what you are responsible for in terms of bodily injury and property damage to the other person.
So you have a great health insurance plan? Most people have deductibles and coinsurance. Who will pay that when the other guy is uninsured? What if you change jobs and your health insurance is not as good? What if you lose your job and your health insurance? Who will pay the bills then?
Uninsured motorist coverage takes care of you. If the other person causes the accident and is uninsured or underinsured, who will pay your bills? PIP will help, but it only covers the first $10,000, and it is not 100% coverage -you pay a portion. And that is not much coverage at all these days.
Uninsured motorist coverage takes care of you when the other person is at fault and has no insurance, or not enough insurance. It pays medical bills and more. It will also pay for your lost wages if you miss time from work, and for your pain and suffering. It does that now and in the future. It's an incredibly valuable

coverage, and it's all for you. What's the likelihood of you needing this coverage? The Insurance Research Council estimates that as many as 28% of Florida drivers are uninsured as of 2010. That is scary. How much uninsured motorist coverage should you buy? My opinion -- you should buy as much for yourself as you buy to protect the other guy. In other words, match your bodily injury liability insurance limits.

ike most people these days, Carmen and Donald Rourke, residents in Hunter's Green, don't have a lot of spare time, but the spare time they do have goes to Cat Crusaders as fosters for cats and kittens until they find forever home. Carmen and Donald are currently fostering a wonderful mom Kissee , who was actually dumped at Animal Services while giving birth to her kittens. Only one survived the ordeal, and is now 6 weeks old and named Miracle. Once they are fully vetted by Cat Crusaders, like Tinkerbell, pictured with Carmen, they will go for adoptions on the weekends, to the adoption center at Petsmart in New Tampa, by Bruce B Downs and 75, next to BJ's, where Cat Crusaders does adoptions 7 days a week. Cat Crusaders only adopts out cats and kittens that are fully vetted, healthy, litter box trained, and used to being indoor-only cats. Donald even kennels, one day a week for the group at the store, and is always amazed by the nice teens who are volunteering with the rescue group. You must be at least 15 to volunteer without a parent. You give a few hours and get to see the difference we are making in rehoming some wonderful cats. Kenneling is very easy and the best part is you get to love the cats! The rescue is always looking for volunteers, entire families can participate together, and students can get service hours by helping out. There are many things to do from kenneling the adoption center, to helping with adoptions, to fostering a cat, providing them a temporary home until we find a forever home. There's even fundraising for those who are allergic but still want to help out. For more information, www.tampacatcrusaders.org or call (813)472-9700. HG
