Brief : To design a visitor centre located in the Underfall Yard in Bristol Docks. The buiding will act as an entrance to the yard and in turn the yard is part of a bigger 'journey' around the water front. The intention is to design a buiding that is a subtle and sympathetic addition to the existing Victorian buidings.

Site Analysis
Instead of just a platform with views out, I consider the visitor centre as an entrance where people get welcomed.

Site Circulation & Entrances
With the building projecting onto the water, it forms a shape that together with the slipway composes a strong geometric pattern.
Dawn and Sunset Times on Solstices & Altitude of Sun at Noon
Taking the chimney as the centre of the site, curves sliding down can be observed.
Because of the site's radial arrangement of plan and its surrounding sceneries, it is important for visitors to get a panoramic view onto the water.

Brief : To design a community pavillion on the bank of the Hun River in Shenyang following the style and philosiphy of John Lautner. The pavilian is to provide a recreational place for the people living in this area and it should be able to merge into the riverside walk smoothly.
Design Concept “Architecture that has no beginning and no end” — John Lautner As I consider, John Lautner’s architecture pursues the endless of space, an imperceptible exchange of internal and external — a space of infinite. This is where I started my plan.
