Proper Care of Human Hair Wigs

Women know that human hair wigs are perhaps the type of wig that gives a look that is closest to what is natural. This is because they can be set, styled and colored just like the natural hair and they also afford them the flexibility to do any style they love. Of all the available variants, these pieces are also the most expensive, perhaps because of the sophisticated endeavor that is employed in making them available. Every woman who loves to put on wigs will definitely want to have one.

It is therefore imperative that those who use human hair wigs take some extra care of them in order to retain their natural beauty and luster. Unlike their synthetic counterparts, human full lace wigs may not require a great deal of maintenance save for a strict washing regimen. When you decide it is time to wash your wig, you need to ensure you have some cool or lukewarm water in order to get the best results. You can choose between using a bath tub or simple sink, using a gentle shampoo. You will need to move the wig back and forth while it is gently submerged in the sink or the bathtub; you will avoid any harsh scrubbing because any damage that is done is basically irreparable.

After you are done washing you will need a little more cool water in order to rinse off any remaining shampoo. You can also use a mild conditioner on the hairpiece so as to reduce the risk of tangling. Once you have ensured it is clean and rinsed properly, you need to air dry the human hair wigs for best results. You need to exercise patience and avoid wringing it so as to remove any excess water. The other option would be to place it on a dry towel and allow it to absorb the excess water; human hair needs to be washed at least once after between 14 and 18 uses.

When it comes to brushing your wig, always ensure that you use special combs that are designed for use with wigs; such brushes are mostly flat and are made of wire. The wig needs to be brushed regularly and especially after it has been used. The best way to brush it is to begin at the bottom and then calmly work your way upwards.

As you do your brushing, you should always avoid the urge to remove any tangles forcibly using the brush. If you encounter any knots or tangles, you can use your hand gently to work through it. Don't use a regular brush because it can easily pull the human hair wig apart and damage it; you should also avoid brushing newly washed wigs before they are completely dry. This type of wig is a perfect creation and one that gives you a completely natural look. Since it is quite durable and almost resembles your own hair, following these simple guidelines ensures that it serves you best and longest.
