BIELLA FAMILY This group project aims to design a new productf producy for SERRALUNGA,which can be put into market in 2014,together with their other new products. SERRALUNGA is a famous Itlian company which specializes in rotational moulding production of indoor and outdoor products.

Four buckets are designed for different use in terms of the researches. When you put 4 members together,the top curve demonstrates Alpi mountain,icon of city Biella.

ROTATIONAL MOULD
Rotational Molding involves a heated hollow of material. The Biella Fimily were born from one mould. After the heating&rotatiing process.People remove the mould ,and simply cut straightly through the dividing lines in the center.Then the family of four are borned! the upper part covered by glossy white rubber. which implies the Alpi mountain and solved the shape corners problem as well.

READER This a lamp design individual project. Considering lots of people like reading at night before they fall asleep. But sometimes,they read for too long before they realize.The result can be lack of energy for the next working day. I designed a bed-side reading lamp,which controled by a simple timer. You can decide how long you want to read by turning the handle,which looks like a clock handle.

HOW TO USE: Turn the handle to decide your reading time. Push or pull the LED lamp,to adjust the light position.

LIGHT SIGHT The topic of the project is light. I chose to create a public installation,which plays with different ways to let people feel the light. and plant direction.
PUBLIC CONCEPT
Dark concrete blocks(2m high)block the light from sight,and open the sight of shadow to people at the same time.2 thick Reinforced glass vases,with holes in the bottom, create Sunfowers with normal height 2m-2.5m,will be introduced,as their instinct to follow the sun direction.
