DESIGN CONCEPT(Transformations and Freedom)

• The design is well functional as it offers high level of convenience to the user of the space. architectural poetic of the design is well considered ,inorder to invite more visitors to the site not only to ride boat but also to enjoy the area within the cafe and restaurant zone. • The circulation and court yard making a good relationship between different function of the design and encourage the visitors to explore and enjoy the facilities. • Different entrances and exit paths orientate the user into a new direction while creating a memorable journey to the user as they explore the design.

• MATERIAL &DESIGN INTENT

• Materiality is well observed in this design; • Marble benches and ceramic floors, Ramth earth walls rendered white washed concrete, strip windows or narrow opaque glass doors and marble stair case are creating a relationship be-tween user and the space.

PRECEDENT KEY POINTS & DESIGN INTENT Language of architecture of Álvaro Siza is highly interacted with the proposed design: • Topography and terrain of the site is considered as an integral factor of the design, to create complexed dynamic within the site. Connection of the ground level (cafe zone) to the roof top of the boat-storage area is clearly express that the design is responsive to the site context.Additionally, The sections are expressing the circular dynamic that is created via different element of design such as entries and spiral stair case as to add Complexity into the interior space and its relationship to the site. • contrast is Another factor that is highly celebrated in the proposed design ;4.9 m tall wall of the resturant is in contrast with the narrow tall doors and strip ribon windows. • Experiment of space from public zones to private zone while the scale of space is progressively decreasing (massive scale to human scale). • Complexity o fthe interior is achieved via division of space and order of functions. • The curvalinear walls are poetic characters of the design. The main function of the curved walls are to soften the Volumatic look of box shape design to create more subtle outcome. Moreover it is giving the design an iconic conceptual shape of a boat to emphasis the boat house function.
