[about ME] What most defines me as a professional is my love for Architecture. Having been fortunate to work, and learn alongside a diversity of talented architects in a wide range of projects, located in the Netherlands, France and in Portugal I have gained a number of valuable skills throughout my experience such as aptitude in technical and construction documentation as well the ability in producing images and booklets for competitions and presentations using the relative software. Working abroad also gave me the opportunity to learn to work in different contexts and in multicultural environments. Therefore my strong points, is being able to work at any stage of the project, in a team or by myself, being used to prioritize and organize work with a positive attitude and giving my best to it. My enclosed resume demonstrates my interest in architecture and urban design and the way in which my skills and experiences can be an asset to your team.

[Mecanoo Architecten] 1st Prize. Sint Josephof Nijmegen, The Netherlands

Urban Planning, Architecture, Competition Courtyard of today In the bustling heart of Nijmegen, close to the historic inner city, lies St. Joseph Courtyard. The oldest remains discovered of a courtyard are of a Roman building dating from about 40 A.D., making it the Netherlands’ oldest stone building. Now the courtyard has been restored to its previous glory and transformed into the Courtyard of Today. Mecanoo’s scheme fits in with the pattern of streets of the historical inner city. Around a public courtyard lie 98 dwellings, some of them with a garden and others in the form of apartments. Three communal gardens at the edges of the court form a link between the existing buildings and the new dwellings. In the middle of the courtyard is an attractive courtyard, open to both residents and passers by, where children can play in safety.

[Mecanoo Architecten] La Llotja Theatre and Conference Centre, Lleida, Spain Multifunctional, Interior , Architecture ,Public, Competition The mountain with its historic cathedral Seu Vella and the Segre River marks the high point and low point of Lleida (Lerida), the second city of Catolonia, following Barcelona. 'Palau de Congressos La Llotja' sits on the banks of the Segre, somewhat outside the centre of the city. Mecanoo’s design interprets the landscape of Lleida as the exciting scenery before which the building has been placed, somewhat further from the river. The mise-en-scène is elaborated on three levels of scale. Regarded from the large scale of the region, the building forms a link between the river and the mountain. Viewed from the urban scale, La Llotja and the river form a balanced composition. At street level the cantilevers of La Llotja de Lleida provide protection from sun and rain. The large stone edifice seems to have sprouted from the Spanish earth. The building’s horizontal form provides a large garden on the roof.

[Mecanoo Architecten] Master Plan Munich, Germany

Urban Planning, Architecture Master plan The goal of this new urban intervention is organizing space through blocks that establish the boundary of the site and also allow the organization of public and private outdoor space. Function spaces: 1. Blocks - building six isolates that create different urban spaces, each with a different function and to be specific to give a degree of heterogenity to the assembly. 2. Urban-link - connects directly to the site with the town and woods. A channel cross-cutting public pathways and longitudinal pathways. 3. Inner-court - four of the six blocks have an inner courtyard each with its specific feature: blue table, yellow field, pink alley and spirales The necessary diversity of the urban plan is established by simple means that have a subtle design without a formal complexity.

[Mecanoo Architecten] Master Plan Helsinki, Finland

Urban Planning, Architecture, Presentation Plan The goal of this new urban intervention is to organize the space controlled by the snake via a series of public and semi-public interconnected urban spaces. For that we used 4 isolated buildings attached to 3 different urban spaces, each with a different function and specific character. Functions of the spaces: 1. Urban atrium- receives the main path from the Northwest side of the site, works as an introduction space and as a place to stop after the long pedestrian bridge. 2. Urban link- directly connects the site with the city. A canal of slow passage where various urban events occur. 3. Industrial park- a defined public park adjoining the rest of the site, it will articulate the 3 blocks and the historic buildings on site. The 4 isolated buildings establish a dialogue of open and closed views between each other, thus articulating the different spaces and creating a main fluid urban space protected by the snake building. The architectural image of each block will differ due to their differential relationships to the landscape. The necessary diversity of the urban plan is established by simple and subtle means making the project special without formal complexity.

[ATELIER SERAJI] Bourdeaux Connection Bordeaux, France

Student housing, Architecture, Competition In the context of urban project ZAC ‘‘coeur de Bastide’’ we considered our block intervention emblematic of a larger and gradual rehabilitation plan Bordeaux of right bank’s neighbourhoods. The project will play a pre-existing situation and anticipate the arrival of the development of the contiguous plot: our building must retain its qualities after the construction of buildings that follow. Two features particularly attracted the attention and guided the approach for this project: the relationship of this site with its context in the constitution and program of extreme density requested. This led to work on a subtle interweaving of mass and emptiness to reconcile the best advantages of the site and the quality of life in housing the students called to settle there. Particular emphasis was given to distribution system within the “micro city” that is a student residence.

[ATELIER SERAJI] Quartier du Stade du Dragon Vichy, France

Urban Planning, Architecture, Competition The area of the stadium Darragon is a place of articulation between different scales, between the city and its geography. As it stands, the heterogeneity of the urban situation, and programmatic landscape of this neighbourhood, its not capable to provide a strong identity that can guide sustainable future development. Our proposal is based on creating a new identity based on the geography of the site, its urban structure, programs and practices that arise. Setting this level of intervention included the project in the big city landscape like the arboretums parks existing in the banks of the Allier river. It offers the opportunity to write a new contemporary sequence for the banks of the Allier so it becomes a strong point in the city, and an attractive basis for a new relationship between city and nature. In seeking to reconnect with the past situation banks of the Allier, it is by no means a willingness a historicist or romantic, but rather as the city was able to do in the past, to invent site conditions that can generate new ways to live, work, relax or practice of public space. This is what we call a negotiated urbanism. |Location |Date |Consultants |Client |Program |Size

[José gomes mota] Montijo Senior Residences Montijo, Portugal Senior Residences, Architecture, Detailing project The goal for this project was to develop a program for a set of two senior residences with a gym with a valency of rehabilitation centre that includes a small indoor pool. The solution, the building shape of a “diamond” comes from two design intentions. The relationship with an existing large oak near the Pedro Nunes Avenue, which marks the main entrance and the “cloistered”, highlighting the great outdoor space creating a central garden with a greater degree of protection for the elderly. Its deployment - the centre of the garden - allows to enable two moments in this communal garden that may have different and complementary purposes: to the west at a more playful moment and to the east a place to stay, the amount destined for the home, the smallest area that the garden should be read as an extension of it. The solution offers two floors above the entrance level and a basement half buried to take advantage of the existing slope. In basement floor, is located the areas of service and technical areas and some of the social areas such as gym and swimming pool. Urban Planning, Architecture The aim of the proposal, the respect for the morphology of the area framed in a compromise between the existing and proposed creating an image of continuity of the south facade towards the sea (av. Marginal), as a result the project has two volumes set back on top of a low rise green volume, following the access tunnel to the beach. It is intended, with the new building, to define the limits of the lot, consistent with the surrounding buildings, without leaving any residual space to see the plot of that existing batch as a whole. . The entrance floor, works as a inter communicating space between circulation spaces and public gathering spaces, outdoor spaces and entrance and reception. The longitudinal body that sets up the facade for the marginal will be formalized only with a floor so that there is no prejudice to the views of a neighbouring house, keeping it as a memory area. It is intended not only to this floor levels a balance, because it is the foreground of the marginal as well as greater privacy in relation to the enjoyment of courtyards and also a guard for the noise coming from traffic along the waterfront.
