The 4,500 sq. ft. non-profit grocery market is part of renovated former Anthony Thomas Candy EXISTING factory at the corner of Yale and West Broad, providing solution to the long standing issue that MECHANICAL ROOM 109 a grocery store for years. Position: Lead Designer, Code Reviewer, Rendering Technician Construction Type: III-B Use Group: A-1, A-2 (Accessory Use) Budget: $1,272,000 (Phase II) Procurement Method: Design-Build The primary goal of the Phase II of Gloria Theatre Renovation is to improve the facility and increase services, both for the comfort and satisfaction of patrons of the theatre and to increase revenue opportunity. Scopes include theatre renovation (improving infrastructure, roof, electrical, HVAC, stairs, etc.), lobby and concession renovations, restrooms remodel, and demolition for future cafe lounge and kitchen. The proposed design of the lobby, at the owner’s request, resembles 1920s’ vintage look with maroon and gold color scheme and retro-looking wall papers. Coffered ceiling and a south shadow box wall for poster display also contribute to the atmosphere.

Concord Counseling Services occupies a tight site in the City of Westerville near Columbus, Ohio. The existing facility had 4 additions since the original facility and achieved large amount of square footage with the use of fire area separation. Zoning regulations posed various restrictions for the development of the site including setbacks, easements, landscape, and parking requirements. The final project included multiple additions to the existing structure, a reconfigured parking area complying with code requirements, and the removal and replacement of trees and plants on site, per City of Westerville Codified Ordinances.
