Delaram Ghanimifard, Co-founder of Tiny Owl Publishing
For me nothing is more rewarding than seeing a smile on the face of a child reading our books, or seeing children inspired by our work. I'm happy to say we have witnessed many of these moments over the last year. It's been a busy time for Tiny Owl, but we have been rewarded in many ways, including being nominated as regional finalist for The Bookseller's 'Small Press of the Year' Award. Our new Autumn list includes Fair Shares by the amazing Pippa Goodhart and Anna Doherty. The Secret of the Tattered Shoes is a special collaboration between Jackie Morris and Ehsan Abdollahi who met at Edinburgh International Book Fair last year. Under the Great Plum Tree is illustrated by Iranian artist Reza Dalvand. Sufiya Ahmed was inspired to write the book after listening to her mother’s tales about kind-hearted monkeys and silly old crocodiles in the Indian jungle.

For thousands of years, people have been telling stories...From this rich global heritage, we can find stories that are strikingly similar but also different. Our series ‘One Story, Many Voices’ explores well-known stories told from different and unique perspectives from all over the world.
The secret of the tattered shoes Jackie Morris Illustrated by Ehsan Abdollahi
The Secret of the Tattered Shoes is a fresh interpretation of the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tale about twelve princesses who are locked in at night, yet whose dancing shoes are worn down by morning. A young soldier is tasked to discover their night-time adventures. But unlike the story told by the Brothers Grimm, this soldier seeks a different ending. Jackie Morris's poetic text updates this well-known story and shows how fairy tales evolve and adapt over time. Beautifully illustrated by Ehsan Abdollahi who has created stunning puppet-like illustrations in rich and delicate detail. His unique illustrative style perfectly encapsulates the beauty and melancholy of the story. • Hardback • ISBN: 978-1-910328-37-8 • Publication: 25 September 2019 • Price: £12.99 • 40 pp • 275 x 240 mm • Age: 8+ • All Rights Available

THERE'S ROOM FOR EVERYONE
Find out if it is possible to bottle and share happiness in this timeless fable, exquisitely illustrated in an eyeopening and unusual style.
Anahita Teymorian
A child grows and discovers the world. As he lies awake at night, he sees there’s enough room in the sky for all the stars and the moon. When he visits the ocean, he sees there is enough room for all the fish, even for the whales. As he grows up, he doesn’t understand why people fight for space. Surely, if we are kinder to one another, there will always be room for everyone?

While a bluebird builds her nest in the forest, two eccentric gentlemen have a more ambitious construction in mind: a vast palatial building, made from birdcages filled with colourful parrots. As the trees come down and the structure goes up, the bluebird watches on. More and more caged birds are consigned to their fate until at last a huge dome completes the work. But when the celebrating architects go in to admire their creation, the little bluebird brings their ambitions crashing down around them.
A young boy living in the heart of a busy city spots an eagle swooping overhead. He dreams of what it would be like to fly away from the noise and soar over mountains and rivers. Climbing onto the roof, he uses chalk to draw his own eagle – and then himself – into existence. The two fly away together, and embark on a wonderful adventure of the boy’s own imagination.
