SOPHIE HARRISON

I am an Interior Architecture and Design graduate from Nottingham Trent University and have recently completed The Professional Interior Design Diploma from The British College of Interior Design. Since August 2020, I have been working for a luxury bespoke kitchen manufacturer who specialise in curved cabinetry. I have really enjoyed my time at Curve Craft Ltd., but I am now looking to find a new design role after relocating to my first home, which I cannot wait to design!

As a young designer, I am excited to take the next step in my professional career and I am looking to join a creative team to utilise my skills and develop within the company and industry and would love to be a part of your team! EMPLOYMENT Having worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years, I have been highly commended for my customer service skills and ability to maintain the Company standard. This experience has made me confident to work under extreme pressure while maintaining a friendly and professional manner. My past employers have recognised my creative attributes and have assigned additional responsibilities which have included creative projects. Presently, working At Curve Craft, I work closely with designers and retailers to bring their designs to a functional, practical and bespoke project producing a technical drawing package for the build technicians in the factory. I am looking to further my career within the industry and to fully compliment the skills I have acquired so far. August 2020 – Present Kitchen Sales Designer | Curve Craft Ltd. • Establish and maintain professional business relationships with designers, architects and contractors. • Maintained high customer satisfaction and continuously building a returning customer rapport. • Providing price quotations using Excel, creating invoices using Xero and completing order confirmation forms. • Creating technical drawing packages using AutoCAD for retailers and designers. • Providing the factory floor with detailed technical drawings. • Helping to design and inspire with solutions to problems keeping in mind practicality and function as well as aesthetics we find along the way. • Designing showrooms for retailers and Curve Craft Ltd. SH INTERESTS In my spare time, you can find me hunting for secondhand treasures and unique homewares. I love to go exploring in nature with my dog. I hope to travel more in the future and, within the next year, I plan to buy my first home and start my own renovation project. A customer facing hospitality role working within the management team for smooth, day to day running of the venue. • Event planning, designing and developing flyers and social media graphics. • Built trusted relationships with staff, management and directors. • Responsible to cash up tills, handle large sums of money, stock take and ordering and end of day financial reports. • Delegating tasks and responsibilities to staff members. • Helped to resolve customer complaints and problems in a positive manner. • Health and Safety policy reviews and updates. I started working as a kitchen porter and then moved to front of house waitressing until I was able to work behind the bar when I was promoted to supervisor.
