Orange Juice ‘Rip it Up’ 2013 Tour

Throughout the course of the OUGD301 Design Practice III module, I hope to create a body of work that is reflective of my ambitions to create conceptual and innovative brand solutions, balancing both image-driven and typographic design, working with clients on an individual and personalized basis with a focus on brand and market ethics within client selection and partnership. With a variety of both self initiated and live client briefs, I also hope to emulate and experience the work timetable and project outcomes that may ordinarily be found in a professional design studio.

Produce a range of promotional, brand, and memorabilia products applied and produced through both digital and printed design to broaden brand development skills, specializing in design for the music industry.

Statement of Intent

Leeds University Ballet Society

1.In week one, I will develop my conceptual and visual outcomes through both brand/product and research development. 2.In week two I will submit finalized brand identity to the specific clients/peers/tutors for feedback. 3.In week three I will gather and source all necessary information for the product/ outcome developments (websites, prospectuses, editorial design, etc). 4.In week four I will produce all branded/ merchandise designs such as promotional and retail goods. 5.In week five I will submit all finalized design developments for feedback and final edits/pre-flight. 6.In week six I will send all designs to print. 7.In week seven I will (start to) put together all design boards, finalize evaluations and document outstanding work. 8.In weeks eight to ten, I will photographically document all design and product outcomes for both digital and printed designs for finalized submission boards.

Design a range of branded, promotional media for members of the University of Leeds ballet society and prospective, future members to help publicize and develop a professional identity to strengthen branding design through a live brief which adheres to personal interest(s).

Jessie Leong Photography Produce a range of digital and printed brand outcomes for student Photographer, Jessie Leong, to develop typographic, editorial and branding design practice through a contemporary, live, design brief.

UK Greetings YCN 2012-13 Produce a range of personal greetings cards for UK Greetings card manufacturer on behalf of the National YCN competition brief, 2012-13. James Maxwell Architecture Through both printed and digital design, promote the design practice of BA (Hons) Interior Architecture Cardiff School of Art & Design student, James Maxwell. Through concept-driven, branded design promote his portfolio of industrious and robust style of architectural design as he seeks employment and industry experience upon graduation from his degree in July 2013.
