Brief/Session/Document Title Laura Ashley S/S 2013 Home Interiors Collection Brief Brief Develop a range of printed textiles and home interior design products to be proposed for a hypothetical Laura Ashley S/S 2013 collection, to be branded and promoted alongside the worldwide brand’s existing designs in a consistent, yet innovative range of design deliverables, working collaboratively with Graphic Designer and Illustration specialist, Stephanie Lawson. Background / Considerations As an established, heritage, family brand, consider how the design outcomes will reflect the traditional home with a contemporary twist, for which the brand is much acclaimed and celebrated for. Demonstrate a body of research, which influences the design development and reflects a full knowledge and insight of the brand and the existing products within the brand’s collections and archives. Research the history of the Laura Ashley from both a brand and marketing and printed textiles and surface pattern design perspective. Research both Laura Ashley and market competitors for product ranges, promotion and application of printed design for inspiration and influence throughout our own product range.
