1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them? I feel that this year I have been far more responsive to both the lectures and tasks that we have received in response to them. With deeper, far more philosophical basis and reasoning, I personally feel that there has been a lot more content to get involved with, and excited about, creating a passion and stimulated mind that is necessary for strong contextual analysis and study, which I hope has been reflected in my work to this point. 2. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these? As aforementioned, I feel that mentally I was far more involved with my tasks this year than during previous sessions, and engaged well with these. Some of the theories, such as Panopticism and Hyperreality made me particularly engaged, and go on to study further with my reading (having a focused involvement and interest in Existentialism, for instance). Although I feel that I could have capitalised on these interests more within my essay, in particular, I am glad that I explored a range of theories and contextual references, despite whether I applied them to their full potential or not. I feel that I am really receptive to learning new information, and will certainly aim to use all that I’ve learnt within my dissertation proposal and final essay to create a well-rounded, researched, and substantial body of text.

3. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these in the future? My essay is what I consider to be my weakest part of my contextual studies work this year, with a great deal of improvement, which could have been made. Not only could I have spent a great deal more time reading and researching (I am starting my dissertation reading now to try and get ahead of the game!) for a clearer understanding of the subject matter in which I was discussing, as well as being able to add more evidence and an argument for the subject of sustainable production itself. I also will try to take more time to read existing essays for inspiration in terms of writing, and, in particular, triangulation of quotes and references, another area that needs addressing and improvement. 4. Identify things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these? 1. PLAN AHEAD OF TIME! There will always be other work on, and other projects. Whilst some, at the time may appear to have a great need for prioritising, I need to give my full attention to all

modules, and make sure that I put an equal amount of time and effort in for each to achieve the greatest results and potential possible. 2. Study essays in finer detail for writing style inspiration to add more finesse and finish to my texts, with a well researched and understood basis. 3. Reference philosophers and theorists more within my work for evidence of arguments and opinions for a more believable and three-dimensional written text that triangulates quotes and references effectively.

5.How would you grade yourself on the following areas: (please indicate using an ‘x’) 5= excellent, 4 = very good, 3 = good, 2 = average, 1 = poor 1 2 3 4 5 Attendance X Punctuality X Motivation X Commitment X Quantity of work produced X Quality of work produced X Contribution to the group X The evaluation of your work is an important part of the assessment criteria and represents a percentage of the overall grade. It is essential that you give yourself enough time to complete your written evaluation fully and with appropriate depth and level of self-reflection. If you have any questions relating to the self evaluation process speak to a member of staff as soon as possible.
