CONCEPT
DESCRIPTION
Seoul in motion is a project that’s playing around city’s sounds an activity. The aim of this work is to give a new interactive vision of what is happening around us and what you can achieve with everything that surrounds us. I think the possibilities around this project are infinite, and could lead to other ideas or other kind of interactions. Also in terms of music and sounds possibilities which could be more powerful and precise if I had a controler and external music production devices.

For this project I wanted to play along sounds and visuals, indeed you can turn every sound to visuals but it had to be interactive. For that reason I choose to wander through Seoul and seak for bridges so I could catch de traffic and capture every single car and make sounds from them. The principle is simple, creating an algorithm on Max, connecting an external camera to it and it’s almost done ! Now the software has to be connected to Ableton through MaxLive, and all you have to do is play around the MIDIs and that’s it !
