Collinsville’s 2023 City Wide Garage Sale, April 28 & 29th. Interested in having a Garage Sale at your house? City residents can register by calling the City of Collinsville's Parks & Recreation department at 618-346-7529 by April 21st to be listed in a Garage Sale Guide that will be posted on the City's website and Facebook Page. If you call to register after April 21st, you will be directed to City Hall to apply for a regular Yard Sale permit and will not be included in the City-Wide Garage Sale Guide. Hours for each day are 7am-3pm, rain or shine.

Downtown Alton Pup Crawl 2023, May 20th, 1-6pm, Downtown Alton. What's a pup crawl? It's a pub crawl with dogs! Pet-related vendors, activities, and animal welfare charities will be at several locations where space allows. The Alton Dog Park will be free and open to the public all day on this event. 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Set aside. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, food color and peppermint extract; mix well. Gradually beat in flour mixture on low speed until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips.
2. Drop by heaping tablespoons about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
3. Bake 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool.
